Open Pitches for Writers

A new website has been launched in order to help editors find writers for specific topics. The Tumblr website 'Open Pitches' was started after a Twitter conversation between the editors of literary magazines Meanjin and The Lifted Brow.

I want it to be open to every publication or writer who could use it, although I think this particular scenario is quite common for literary magazines, so I expect that’ll be the focus at first,’ said Simon Collinson, online editor of the Lifted Brow.

According to Books + Publishing both Meanjin and Lifted Brow have posted openings, with Meanjin's opening already filled. The 'Open Pitches' site is definitely one for writers to bookmark!
