Publications

Here at Writer’s Edit, putting incredible works of writing out into the world is our main goal. We do this through a number of avenues.

First, our online magazine publishes advice for authors, self-publishers and freelance writers all year round.

Secondly, from 2014 – 2016 we published the annual creative writing anthology, Kindling, which you can read about below.

The final instalment of the Kindling series offers a collection of stories, poetry and creative non-fiction from writers all over the world. With words to instruct, inspire and illuminate, this anthology is essential for modern writers and readers alike.

Kindling III was launched November 16th, 2016. You can read a recap of the event here, or purchase your copy here.

Kindling Volume II, 2015

6-Kindling

Including work from leading literary talent such as Alison Jean Lester, Kristin Prescott, Fikret Pajalic, Ruth Christopher and many more, this volume has flown off the shelves since its release.

Kindling Volume II was launched on the 18th of November, 2015. You can read a full recap of the event here, and view a gallery of photos from the night here. You can also purchase your own copy here.

In Kindling II, the reader is not only treated to a vast array of forms, but also a nuanced and thoughtful arrangement of pieces. It’s a nifty proposition: an anthology filled with both punchy contemporary fiction and poetry, as well as insider knowledge and tips for aspiring writers – Louise Jaques for NSW Writers’ Centre

Kindling Volume I is the first official Writer’s Edit anthology: a vibrant collection of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry and writing advice for all emerging wordsmiths. It showcases the work of some incredible up-and-coming talent as well as offers advice from more established writers.

Kindling Volume I made a big debut splash with killer whales in Twofold Bay, rebellious teenagers and homeless ghost writers, as well as interviews with some of Australia’s leading literary figures.

It featured the work of authors like Lee Kofman, Nick Gadd and Damon Moore (among many other talents), while Kristin Prescott shared advice from Kate Forsyth and Kim Wilkins.

Kindling Volume I was launched on November 29, 2014. You can view photos from the launch party here, read a recap of the event here, or purchase your own copy here.
